Tulane University Hospital and Clinic (TMC)

Tulane University Hospital and Clinic is a combined 200+ bed acute ambulatory care facility operating principally as a tertiary care center with consultations and inpatient adult and child neurology services. Extensive diagnostic facilities are housed in the hospital and clinic, including advanced radiological facilities, computerized Tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, digital venous angiography, nuclear medicine and ultrasound units, and a cerebral blood flow laboratory. Within the Department of Psychiatry and Neurology, the hospital offers electroencephalography, electromyography and evoked responses laboratories. A long-term epilepsy monitoring unit, epilepsy center, sleep laboratory, multiple sclerosis clinic, headache center, stroke clinic, and memory disorder clinic are part of the department.

Medical Center of Louisiana at New Orleans (MCLNO)/University Hospital

Medical Center of Louisiana at New Orleans (MCLNO)/University Hospital is a 600 bed tertiary care facility consisting of Charity Hospital and Clinics and University Hospital with a Tulane Adult Inpatient Service, 8-bed Neurology Intensive Care Unit and an 8-bed Neurology step down unit. Diagnostic and laboratory facilities are housed in the hospital and include invasive and noninvasive neuroradiology, diagnostic cardiology, and pathology. Neurology, Medicine, Surgery and Pediatric Intensive Care Units are available and the MCLNO is a level one trauma center.

VA Medical Center of New Orleans (VAMC)

VA Medical Center of New Orleans (VAMC) is a 200 bed general medical and surgical hospital located directly across from the Tulane School of Medicine and MCLNO. Neurology facilities include electroencephalography, electromyography and evoked response laboratories. Active Speech Pathology, Neuropsychology, and Rehabilitation Medicine services interact with the residents. Diagnostic facilities are housed in the hospital and include advanced radiological and laboratory facilities, except for MRI, which is available at MCLNO.

Ochsner Foundation Hospital and Clinic

Ochsner Foundation Hospital and Clinic is a 532 bed tertiary care facility. It has become a major referral center of the Southeastern United States and South America. It is a well equipped modern facility. State of the art diagnostic studies are available on site for inpatient and outpatient services. There is no inpatient Neurology service, and this is a consultation service.
